St. Croix Valley Symphony Orchestra

Dr. Kristin Tjornehoj, professor of music at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls is the conductor of the St. Croix Valley Symphony Orchestra. The orchestra is comprised of UWRF students and greater St. Croix Valley community members. Rehearsals are held on Monday evenings from 7:00-9:00 p.m. in William Abbott Concert Hall located in the Kleinpell Fine Arts Building on the campus of UW-River Falls.  The ensemble explores a wide variety of repertoire. Designed to meet the needs of the membership by providing a quality performance venue, the group also excels at outreach for the St. Croix Valley. The annual Young Persons Concert which is growing in popularity will be performed for area elementary students in March.

Have you thought of participating again in a musical ensemble?  We invite you to participate in a UWRF sponsored opportunity for adults and students in collaborative music making in the area of music through the St. Croix Valley Symphony Orchestra. Auditions are available by contacting  Dr. Kristin Tjornehoj.

This year the season includes an exciting line-up of quality music and amazing guest soloist/conductors.  Directed by Dr. Kristin Tjornehoj, this ensemble explores a wide variety of literature and presents concerts throughout the greater St. Croix Valley.
